Project Closing Event


The EU funded Project “Support to the Development of Business Capacity of Ukrainian SMEs – International Dimension” is implemented by a WYG International (UK) led consortium in Kyiv, Kharkiv and Lviv oblasts.
The Project contributes to the development of small and medium sized enterprise (SME) competitiveness through institutional capacity building to the main SME policy institutions, technical assistance to SMEs in export and investment promotion, attracting foreign investments, and through the increase of awareness of business internationalization in the country.
The Project started in September 2007 and will last until 31 August 2009. The Project supports 62 pilot SMEs from three priority regions: Kyiv (IT sector), Lviv (woodworking and furniture sector) and Kharkiv (machinery and equipment sector).
The Project outputs and achievements will be presented during the Project Closing Event on 3 August 2009 at Riviera Hotel, 15, Sagaydachnogo St., Kyiv, metro “Poshtova Ploscha”.
Experience of pilot SME companies from three sectors, lessons learnt and recommendations will be presented by Project Team, State Committee of Ukraine for Regulatory Policy and Entrepreneurship (SCURPE), Project main Partner, Project stakeholders and beneficiaries - pilot SMEs involved in the Project.
At the same time a Briefing for Press will be organised to disseminate Project results among a wider audience.
