A new EU project is gaining strength

After successful implementation of the European Union project to support the development of business capacity of Ukrainian SME's another initiative patronized by European Commission has been started.

SCUBE-ICT is an EU-funded initiative aiming to boost strategic partnerships between Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) researchers and industrial actors from the EU, Belarus and Ukraine. The project was launched 1 January 2009 and will take 24 months totaling all the achievements on 31 December 2010.

The project will achieve its overall aim via a range of activities including:


  • Collaboration assessment
  • Publicity / Promotion Campaign and awareness creation
  • Policy activities
  • Awareness events
  • Training events
  • Networking / partnership events
  • ‘Advanced’ Services (e.g. Joint Action Plans and e-Services)


The project mobilises a multidisciplinary and multicultural consortium of 10 partners from 3 EU countries and 6 ICPCs (3 from Belarus and 3 from Ukraine).

SCUBE-ICT has formed a Cluster with the EU-funded projects EXTEND and ISTOK-SOYUZ targeting the East Europe and Central Asia region (EECA Cluster).
